To protect your account from increasing online fraud, starting from the end of July 2021 we’ll be adding extra security checks when you make an online transaction. To continue to be able to shop online using your card, you need to create a unique Online Payment Code (OPC).
From the end of July 2021, you may be asked for two codes to validate your identity when you make an online purchase with your Creation issued Credit Card:
NEW Online Payment Code (OPC) Unique 5-digit code which you need to create in your Creation Mobile App or Online Account Manager
One-Time Passcode (OTP) A 6-digit code which you may already receive by SMS sent to your mobile number**
Without a correct OPC and OTP, you won’t be able to complete online purchases with your card.
**Please be aware that from July 2021 you will only be able to receive OTPs via SMS, so make sure you’ve registered your current mobile number with us in your Creation Mobile App or the Online Account Manager.
It’s easy to create your OPC:
Option 1: Via the Creation Mobile App^ under ‘Card Management’
Option 2: In your Online Account Manager under ‘My Profile’
^To register, you’ll need to enter your card number, expiry date and date of birth.
It’s important ALL cardholders linked to your account have their own unique OPC if you want them to continue to be able to shop online using their card..
As part of these security changes, we are also introducing the option to freeze your card for online payments only. This means you’ll still be able to use the card in-store. You’ll be able to find this option in your Creation Mobile App and Online Account Manager from the end of July 2021.
This new service is part of an industry-wide initiative to further protect customers against online fraudsters, so get ready by creating your OPC now.

Enabled by the Mastercard® Identity Check™ (you may see their logo on the payment screen), it allows you to securely make online purchases using your Creation issued Credit Card at participating online retailers.
