Creation Making A Difference in the local community
Creation, is proud to announce its support of Marie Curie as part of its annual ‘Make a Difference’ programme. Each year, employees are invited to nominate a local charity they’d like to support at their Solihull and Belfast offices. Colleagues then get involved in a number of activities, volunteering both their time and expertise to help raise funds for very worthy causes.
As a leading provider of cards, loans and retail finance, helping over 4 million customers for the past 40 years, Creation is the brand providing finance solutions to over 300 partners; some of the UK’s biggest names – Argos, Asda, Dixons Carphone and DFS, amongst others.
Creation is committed to supporting the local communuities in which it works. Since the launch of the Make a Difference programme in 2008, colleagues have raised over £240,000 supporting over 28 charities and volunteered over 2,600 hours supporting colleges and schools. And it doesn’t stop there! In the process they’ve enjoyed over 10,000 cakes climbed some of the UK’s highest peaks and donated over 1.4 tonnes of food, helping local families. So it’s definitely work hard, play hard, all for some fantastic causes.

Stephen Hunt, CEO at Creation added “I was delighted to be asked on the Marie Curie Development Board so I can help along with other business leaders from the region. We have successfully launched two initiatives to maximise the appeal to businesses in the West Midlands to provide support. We’ve launched a ‘Pay for a Day’ appeal, aimed at the business community, to support increased care for Birmingham residents and planned a series of events to support the appeal throughout the year including the Birmingham Brain
Game, a quiz event bringing businesses from across the region together to test their general knowledge, have fun and raise valuable funds
Creation is also very active working with local education colleges. Infact it’s proud to be one of the founding members of the UK’s first Professional Services Academy, working in partnership with Birmingham Metropolitan College. With the support of its colleagues, the success looks set to continue, creating opportunities for the development of its people and giving something back to the local commuity, making a real difference.
